Monster High Dolls are the new sensation from Mattel. They're so new and different which is what is catching the eye of so many kids. These dolls are anything but boring. If you're a girl that loves fashion dolls, you won't be disappointed. Monster High Dolls come with fashion accessories and look great being displayed. There are six dolls that include the three BFF's, Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Clawdeen Wolf as well as Lagoona Blue and the popular couple Cleo De Nile and Deuce Gorgon.

The great thing about Monster High Dolls is that they are part of the Monster High Series. Each doll has originated from a character that you can identify with and has a story. This means they have personalities, so kids can really get involved with not only the dolls but the books, movie and the website.


The Monster High Dolls are all teenage children from famous monsters and each one has their own freaky flaw that they have to deal with. For example Frankie Stein the daughter of Frankenstein has a habit of coming apart at the seams which makes it pretty hard at Fear-leading practice. That's what makes them so cool because kids can relate to them. Just like any kid they have to fit in at school, make friends and find a way to deal with their flaws.

Frankie Stein

The daughter of Frankenstein and his bride. She's 15 years old and comes with her pet Watzit which is made up of all different animal parts.

Draculaura

The daughter of Count Dracula. She's centuries old but wow! she looks amazing. She comes with her pet bat Count Fabulous.

Clawdeen Wolf

The daughter of the Werewolf. She's 15 years old and comes with her little kitten, Crescent.

Lagoona Blue

The daughter of a Seamonster. She's 15 years old and comes with her pet pirahna, Neptuna.

Cleo De Nile

The daughter of The Mummy. She's the egyptian princess who's over 5 thousand years old and like Draculaura she's very well preserved. She comes with her pet cobra, Hissette.

Deuce Gorgon

The son of Medusa. He's 16 years old and comes with his pet rat, Perseus.


The dolls are awesome, just slightly bigger than Bratz and they all come with their own personal pet. They also have a brush, accessory, diary and a stand (you're gonna want to display these beauties). The diary has a secret code that allows access to the website for privileged doll owners where you can get all the latest goss on Monster High and play games.

The Monster High Dolls are all articulated, coming apart at the elbow and wrist, redressing them is a breeze. Becuase of the small parts the dolls are not recommended for children under 6 but there is a plush version available.

Mattel is also planning a whole line of merchandise ranging from clothes, handbags, jewelry and fashion accessories to go along with the dolls. A full feature Monster High movie is planned with Universal Pictures as well as a whole series of books. The first book is out and will be a great read for young adults as Lisi Harrison is the author. She is the New York Times best selling young adult author.

Mattel has hit upon a winner. These monster High Dolls will appeal to everyone. Not only are they fashionable and cool but they're unique making them a MUST HAVE. They kind of look like a goth version of Bratz, very cool! Children and adults alike will go for these dolls. Collectors will be delighted to have found a range of dolls that are different and goth and horror/monster fans will love to add them to their collection.

With all the additional merchandise that is coming out, Monster High will be a hobbyists dream for years. I'm sure Mattel will expand the range and keep us collecting forever.
